When teachers are unable to get their students into nature, Roots of Connection brings nature to you. The life cycle of Coyote is presented as a link towards becoming a life-long steward of nature.
Are your students studying ecosystems? Doing an Animal Study project? Taking a nature oriented field trip, or just want the outdoors brought to your school? Roots of Connection has the presentation for you: “Stories, Songs, and Stewardship.” This engaging program focuses on the life cycle of coyote and includes native folklore, songs about coyotes, and striking images taken locally by Guy Galante. Not only will attendees learn about the important role coyotes play in the American River Parkway ecosystem, they will learn animal tracking basics, and how to get involved in engaging with and protecting the ecosystem for future generations.
